API reference
Every utility, switch, primitive, and script in the kit, read from the kit's own data.
The tables on these pages are generated at build time from @zazz-ui/core: the utility table (base/utilities.ts), the manifest, the editor data (editor/*.json), and each script's header. If a name is on a page here, it is in the kit.
Sections
- Foundations: tokens, typography roles, the layout grid, breakpoints, cascade layers, and the global attributes.
- Modifiers: the suffixes that scope a utility to a breakpoint, a state, a group, the starting style, or a stuck sticky element.
- Utilities: the values you write in
style, by section, starting with layout. - Switches: fixed rule sets carried as
data-uitokens. - Primitives: one page each, with examples, attributes, and hooks, starting with button.
- JavaScript: the runtime behind the scripted primitives: custom elements, signals, hotkeys, events, and navigation.
Reading the tables
A utility row names the CSS it writes, the value it takes (a scale number or length, any CSS value, a keyword, or an integer), and the tiers it accepts: breakpoints (--px--md), states (--bg--hover), or neither. "Works tier-only" means the utility has a natural default, so --opacity--hover: .8 needs no --opacity base on an element whose primitive does not set opacity itself.
A primitive's attribute table lists its identity tokens, tag form, presets with their values, slots, the state tokens its script writes, and the configuration its script reads. Its hooks table lists every --ui-<primitive>-* custom property with the default the kit ships.
